Why artists are our collaborators, not our customers

When I started my career as an actor, everyone had something to sell me: headshots, acting classes, marketing classes, on-camera classes, career coaching, business coaching, audition coaching, networking coaching... the list of things people asked me to buy, always with the promise that it would be the thing to "jump-start" my career, or let me "rise above the competition", was endless, and a lot of it was garbage. NGM doesn't want to be in the business of selling crap to creatives, we want to make good stuff with creatives so it can be sold to the execs and companies that know how to make it successful commerce.
